A View Across the Marina
This photograph was taken from Devonian Harbour Park in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, looking across the calm marina toward the city skyline.
A Park Shaped by People
Devonian Harbour Park was created in the 1970s.
Before that, the area had been planned for large buildings and skyscrapers.
However, the residents of Vancouver reacted.
They wanted the space to remain open and green.
Eventually, the area became a waterfront park.
The transformation happened with financial support from the Devonian Group of Charitable Foundations, which also gave the park its name.
Today it is a small seaside park near Stanley Park.
Even though it is not large, it offers one of the most peaceful views of the harbor and the city.
A Scene Like a Painting
But what fascinates me here is something deeper.
When I stand at this spot and look at the marina, the sailboats, and the skyline reflected on the water, the scene feels like a painting.
Everything fits perfectly in the same frame.
The city, the marina, the boats, and the calm sea.
Inside the Frame
And suddenly I realize something.
I am not just watching the picture.
I feel like I am inside it.
The city blends naturally with the marina and the water.
Nothing feels separate.
Everything becomes one quiet composition.
At that moment I feel that I am also part of the scene.
Just another element inside the frame.
From Walking to Stillness

Here the feeling is different.
Here you don’t walk.
You simply stand still.
And you become part of the view.
