A View from the Bridge
This photograph was taken from Cambie Bridge, overlooking Science World and the calm waters of False Creek.
It was one of those days that quietly stay with you.
A Simple and Human Encounter
Earlier, I had been with a group of friends at a relaxed barbecue in a house nearby.
In that simple and warm atmosphere, I met the person behind the construction company that built Science World.
There was something beautiful about that moment — meeting someone connected to such an iconic structure, not in a formal setting, but in a completely natural and human way.
Before the Journey Begins
Soon after, we were about to meet again to begin a small sailing trip.
The boat was already waiting for us, tied somewhere along this harbor.
Standing on the bridge and looking at this view, I found myself thinking about that short journey ahead.
Not with impatience, but with a quiet sense of appreciation.
Being Present
Moments like this always remind me of another reflection about being fully present in the moment, like in Being There Is What Matters.
Because in that exact moment, I wasn’t thinking about the sail itself.
I was simply enjoying the thought of it.
Enough
Feeling grateful.
Present.
The sailing would come when it was time.
And that was enough.
